Welcome to my dental practice.
When we look at a happy face with a healthy smile it give the indication and perception of a happy healthy and fulfilled individual.
The mouth is the gateway to all our nutritional requirements to sustain a healthy body and life.
It is therefore of such importance to sustain a healthy mouth, which mean healthy teeth, healthy soft tissue and healthy bone support.
Keevy Dentistry is a Family orientated dental practice that is situated in Morningside, Sandton for more than 25 years.
I offer a full spectrum of general dentistry including preventative dentistry, restorative, reconstructive and aesthetic dentistry as seen in services and gallery.
Treatments can sometimes be multi-disciplinary and involve different disciplines in dentistry to get required results and therefore I refer to and work with a full spectrum of dental specialists to offer the best possible results.
We live in an age of prevention is better than cure.
In this regard I am involved with one of the youngest exciting and rapidly growing fields of preventative medicine namely Sleep Disordered Breathing. It is not how we sleep but what happens to us during this period of our 24 hour day that has a profound influence on our entire health and day to day functioning. Not only is the person with poor sleep quality effected but it also has an enormous influence on their immediate environment which include the family and work environment.
People are becoming more aware of problems related to their sleep, sleep breathing, snoring, sleep apnea and upper airway resistance syndrome, excessive daytime sleepiness, being tired and constantly fatigued. These are all signs and symptoms of sleep breathing disorders and where indicated can comfortably be treated without medication. This can be done with using a Mandibular advancement device or positive airway pressure treatment.
The multi-disciplinary approach is seen in sleep medicine, where patients are treated for their sleep breathing disorder, and being treated for other medical conditions e.g. cardiovascular disease, ENT, metabolic problems, psychiatric problems and more.
